trying not to fall too far behind, or too repetitive!
Day 4- grateful for my job-and a very understanding boss who most assuredly would NOT allow himself to be posted on my blog!
Day 5- a warm place to sleep, many do not.
what's really important about these 2 is that they are things i haven't had to do without.

Falling back.
This week's10 on Tuesday prompt is about thoughts on the time change-I think most people would agree, it's a love-hate relationship.
10. marks a "season" which i love and since the recent time change is for fall-it means i get to see beautiful fall colors.
9. i hate that it's darker sooner cause it makes getting to the dog park during the week more difficult, and i hate driving in the dark.
8. i don't like having to reset all the clocks, am glad the iphone and the computer do not have to be reset
7. it takes a while to get adjusted to the new time, i like sunshine.
6. now it's not dark when i drive to work.
5. it seems to get colder sooner, or is that just me?
4. it's dark whenever i walk sophie (morning and evening)-dislike!
3. i think i get sleepier sooner-might not be a bad thing?!
2. when it's fall it's time for new foods (heartier soups, baked breads, etc.)
1. i'm not sure why we keep doing it-tradition?

good eats.
This week's 10 on Tuesday prompt is a cool one. My food taste have changed ALOT since my childhood and early adulthood thanks to the influences of Mary, Karen and Polly. When I was a kid I don't remember eating a lot of fresh fruit, and the veggies were usually cooked to death in that true southern way, and the meat was almost always battered and fried, or it was cooked in a crockpot or electric skillet. We ate a lot of casseroles complete with canned creamed soup and topped with cheese. My concept of Italian food was pizza and spaghetti and Mexican nothing more than tacos and refried beans. The above photo is from a recent family lunch at Fusco's. This simple plate has a lot of stuff on it that I would have never eaten in my younger days. This list is in no particular order of fondness cause i love it ALL.
10. proscuitto
9. marinated vegetables (including asparagus!) and caponata
8. fresh baked bread-i know mind boggling-unless you count fresh made biscuits and cornbread
7. fresh mozzarella
6. calamari- fried or grilled (still can't eat the grilled tentacles-squooshi)
5. fresh carrots-peppers-celery-naked and raw
4. hummus
3. poached eggs
2. greek styled yogart
1. risotto
this was a fun prompt to think about, maybe there will be one of some of the weirdest foods you've ever eaten!
